Job summary

Polymarket is hiring a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll across a growing multi-state employee base, reporting to the Controller and interfacing with HR, Legal, and Finance. You will build scalable systems, ensure accuracy in tax withholding, and drive compliant payroll operations across states.

The role requires strong experience in payroll at high-growth tech companies and familiarity with Rippling or Deel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive payroll or accounting experience with multi-state payroll ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• CPP designation is a plus and experience with crypto/equity tax handling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states, including wages, bonuses, overtime, deductions and benefits.
• Reconcile timekeeping data, garnishments, and benefits deductions; flag discrepancies before close.
• Own tax withholding and remittance obligations at federal, state, and local levels; resolve compliance gaps.
• Maintain Rippling or Deel configurations as headcount grows and comp structures evolve.
• Collaborate with HR on hires/terminations and ensure payroll records stay accurate in real time.
• Prepare payroll reports for Finance, HR and external audits; manage year-end filings (W-2s, 1099s).
• Identify manual processes and build systems to replace them.
