Job summary

Central Falls School District is seeking an AR/Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for all district staff. The role focuses on accurate processing, benefits and deductions, and ensuring timely deposits and employee portal updates.

The candidate will work closely with Finance and HR to resolve discrepancies, while maintaining confidentiality and high data integrity. This is a 12-month, salaried, non-union position with benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Finance/Accounting) required or equivalent.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Considerable experience in the payroll field.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for the district's salaried and hourly employees.
• Perform banking activities for direct deposits and related records.
• Publish payroll to the employee portal and handle deductions.
• Maintain accuracy of payroll and attendance records including taxes and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure correct payroll adjustments and reporting.
