Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in New Orleans seeks a Payroll and Labor Management Specialist to manage Accounts Payable and daily cash handling operations. You will process vendor invoices, prepare payments, reconcile deposits, and maintain strict control over house banks and cash recycling, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with Birchstreet/Oracle/Evention, and hospitality familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or cash handling roles.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Birchstreet, Oracle, Evention or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Experience with POS systems, PMS (Opera preferred), and cash handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process all vendor invoices with three-way matching.
• Coordinate payment processing by check, ACH, or wire transfer.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain audit-ready records of AP transactions.
• Prepare and balance daily bank deposits.
• Perform daily cash activity reconciliations with PMS and Night Audit.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
