Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts seeks a Payroll and Labor Management Specialist to oversee Accounts Payable and daily cash handling for a luxury property in New Orleans. You will manage invoicing, payments, reconciliation, and strict internal controls.

You will maintain audit-ready records, coordinate with Front Office and F&B teams, and support internal/external audits while ensuring accurate revenue reporting and cash compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or cash handling.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Birchstreet, Oracle, Evention, or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Experience with POS systems, PMS (Opera preferred), and cash handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices with three‑way matching via Birchstreet.
• Coordinate timely payment processing via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to supplier inquiries professionally.
• Maintain audit-ready records of all AP transactions and supporting docs.
• Ensure all disbursements are authorized and compliant with internal controls.
• Process daily remittance envelopes and balance cash deposits per procedures.
• Maintain custody of cash assets and manage cash recycler and cashier systems.
• Conduct routine audits of house banks and tills and resolve variances promptly.
• Prepare and distribute daily and monthly cash reports and reconciliations.
