Job summary

Housing Catalyst located in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking a Payroll and Accounts Payable Manager to oversee day-to-day payroll processing and supervise AP staff, ensuring accurate, timely transactions.

The role requires post-secondary education in accounting/finance or related field and at least four years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including payroll and AP. Preference given to candidates with Yardi and Paylocity experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• At least four years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including payroll and accounts payable, is required.
• Experience providing work direction, training, or supervision is required.
• Experience with payroll systems and accounting or property management software is preferred (Yardi and Paylocity).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day payroll and accounts payable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide work direction, training, and supervision to accounts payable staff.
• Support procurement, purchase orders, invoice approvals, and payment workflows.
• Prepare payroll registers, journals, and related accounting entries; assist with month-end/year-end close.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll, vendor, and financial information and ensure internal controls.
