Foundation Health Partners is seeking a payroll specialist to compile, verify, maintain, and distribute payroll data for the on-site facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. You will generate reports, support Workforce Management, and handle legislated payroll responsibilities including garnishments and taxes.
The role requires an Associate's degree in accounting/finance with at least two years of payroll experience. On-site work, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.
This position is responsible for compiling, verifying, maintaining, and distributing payroll related data, provides reports/spreadsheets related to payroll, systems support, and training to managers for the automated payroll process. This position also supports payroll on Workforce Management, special committees /projects. This position coordinates and processes specific legislated payroll responsibilities involving tax concerns, child support orders, tax levies and garnishments.

Requires an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience in payroll or finance. Must possess at least two (2) years of experience working with payroll systems under limited supervision.
Must possess knowledge of state and federal law as applicable to garnishments, employment taxes, employee benefits and /or employment issues.
Must possess the ability to demonstrate leadership, organizational, communication (written and oral) and customer service skills; Proven analytical and mathematical skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and work with minimal supervision; Demonstrated ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; Strong computer skills and the ability to create complex spreadsheets and databases.
Knowledgeable of office desktop software products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred. Experience with Lawson and Kronos systems preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
