The role involves weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff, timekeeping reconciliation, off-cycle payments, expense Report processing, vendor invoicing, and collections while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school education and at least 5+ years of Accounting and Payroll experience.
• Ability to analyze information and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal communication and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects and summarizes timekeeping information with supervisor approvals.
• Prepare and process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Process off-cycle payroll calculations, garnishments, deductions, etc.
• Process expense reports monthly.
• Process direct deposit payments.
• Prepare vendor accounts and monthly statements and billing.
• Post customer payments and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Perform collections and communicate with project managers, clients, employees, and vendors.

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST-Payroll & AR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects and summarizes timekeeping information, shall obtain supervisory approval of timecard discrepancies.


• Required to prepare and process the weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in an efficient and accurate manner.


• Processing off-cycle payroll calculations and payments, garnishments, deductions, etc.


• And process expense reports on a monthly basis.


• Process direct deposit payments.


• Preparation of vendor accounts, issues customer statements and billing monthly.


• The posting of customer payments, recording CH, checks, credit card transactions.


• Reconcile vendor accounts, researching discrepancies.


• Will perform collections.


• Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, employees and vendors.


• Must be able to work effectively with limited supervision and meet deadlines.


• Additional duties as assigned.


• Carries out responsibilities with the organizations policies and applicable laws other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school education and must have at least 5+ years of Accounting and Payroll experience.


• The ability to analyze information.


• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.


• Strong and accurate data entry and general math skills, and organizational skills.


• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


• Engineering/Construction experience and Sage Timberline 300 experience is a plus.

Complexity of Duties

Apply clearly prescribed standard practice, using several procedures, with some decisions required and the use of some judgement. Will refer to Accounting Manager for difficult and more detailed decision making.

Pay range: $23.00 to $27.00/hr
