Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Payroll Senior Financial Analyst in Reading, PA to provide data-driven analysis supporting finance processes, tax compliance, and operational efficiency. You will develop and maintain SQL databases and generate reports to improve payroll accuracy and speed.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, SQL experience, and proficiency with Excel and Access; you will collaborate with HR, Benefits, and payroll teams to ensure proper withholding and regulatory

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of financial analytics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-Related field.
• Strong analytical skills including SQL.
• Independent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Process mapping experience.
• QlikView knowledge preferred.
• Excel, Access and related tools proficiency.
• Outlook, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Regular, predictable attendance and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Query and analyze tax withholding data to support compliance requirements.
• Liaise between HR and associates to update HR systems.
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax withholding reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support process-improvement initiatives related to withholding taxes and garnishments.
• Develop, calculate, and monitor measures for new workflow systems.
• Coordinate with Benefits and Payroll Accounting and ADP for setup of private insurance plans.
• Maintain and update existing SQL reports and Access databases.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop automated solutions across multiple applications to save costs and time.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.
