We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Payroll Analyst to support payroll operations within a complex healthcare and academic medical center environment. This role is responsible for analyzing payroll data, maintaining salary funding distributions, and processing adjustments related to both grant-funded and non-grant-funded employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll/HCM, payroll accounting principles, labor distribution, and healthcare workforce payroll processes.

Working closely with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Research Administration, and department leadership, this individual will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with organizational policies, and proper allocation of employee compensation across multiple funding sources.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll analysis experience in a healthcare, hospital, academic medical center, university, or similarly complex environment.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and PeopleSoft HCM.
• Experience managing salary allocations and labor distributions across multiple funding sources.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation, and payroll controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an Academic Medical Center (AMC), healthcare system, research institution, or university environment.
• Experience supporting grant-funded payroll and sponsored research administration.
• Knowledge of effort reporting and payroll cost transfer processes.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Commitment Accounting, Labor Distribution, or related payroll accounting modules.
• Familiarity with NIH, federal grant regulations, and sponsored project accounting.
• Experience with payroll reporting tools, SQL, or PeopleSoft Query.
