Job summary

DBMG is seeking a Payroll Analyst in Phoenix to deliver hands-on payroll expertise and ensure compliance across union reporting, taxes, and audits. You will collaborate with payroll, HR, and accounting to resolve complex items and maintain accurate documentation.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and a background in payroll compliance. This position may involve long hours to meet deadlines and supports year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, regulations, and compliance at multiple levels.
• Experience with union payroll processing, including reports and deductions.
• Advanced Excel skills for analytics, reconciliations, and pivot reports.

Responsibilities

• Handle union payroll activities including setup, deductions, and reporting.
• Prepare and track union reports, certified payrolls, and remittance docs.
• Support payroll tax analysis, reconciliations, and quarter/year-end filings.
• Review irregular payroll items and assist with time-sensitive processes.
• Contribute to year-end close, W-2 validation, and audits.
• Collaborate with payroll, HR, accounting, and external vendors.
• Maintain documentation supporting reconciliations and audits.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and adapt to new reporting requirements.
