Job summary

Triplenet Technologies in Downtown Seattle seeks a Payroll Clerk to ensure client employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with contracts and laws. You will audit payroll changes, process transactions, and support HR and staff.

The role requires strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and experience with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft. This is a 3-6 month assignment with hourly pay of $34–$36.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll or accounting experience.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Auditing & Verification: Audit documents from HR, including PAs, PREPs, 457 changes, benefits, and address changes; audit direct deposit, Pay Card, W-4s, and other payroll changes.
• Payroll Processing & Adjustments: Process payroll transactions, maintain payroll records, review data entry in PeopleSoft by HR and Payroll teams.
• Complex Calculations: Calculate and determine retroactive payments with pay rate changes across multiple dates for accuracy.
• Reporting & Queries: Develop and run queries in PeopleSoft; prepare reports for state agencies and retirement systems.
• Reconciliation & Quality Control: Perform variance checks to verify payroll adjustments before bi-weekly payroll.
• Employee Support & Administration: Respond to payroll inquiries and train new staff.
