Job summary

TSMC - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

You will analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, prepare reports, and support audits in collaboration with HR and Finance teams. On-site work at our Phoenix facility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem analysis skills and ability to develop effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll transactions including salaries, shift premiums, benefits, garnishments, taxes, deductions, G/L entries, tax position changes, and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, pay class, time zone, and rate changes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Perform analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
