Job summary

Vigor Marine Group in Portland, OR is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage multi-company payroll processing, ensure accuracy, and support system enhancements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Human Resources and IT to implement process improvements, ensure tax compliance, prepare reports, and respond to payroll inquiries with a focus on data integrity and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, Business or HR.
• Three years of multi-company payroll experience.
• CPP or FPC certification preferred.
• Experience with Time and Attendance systems and payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process salaried and hourly payroll, including garnishments and deductions.
• Assist with payroll system modifications and process improvements.
• Support upcoming system conversion and data migrations.
• Prepare earnings, tax, and deduction reports for audits and management needs.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead data collection for union audits.
• Ensure wage and tax adjustments with vendor support.
• Coordinate 401(k) loans and benefit deductions.
• Provide training and guidance to payroll staff.
