Job summary

Akraya is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll for 15,000+ employees on a bi-weekly basis in a hybrid San Diego role. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and effective handling of LOA and payroll-related inquiries.

The ideal candidate will audit HRIS Workday feeds, resolve discrepancies in ADP, and provide Tier 2 support, all while maintaining SOPs and ensuring policy compliance. CPP/FPC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Process full payroll cycles for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Audit HRIS Workday daily file feeds into ADP and manage payroll discrepancies.
• Track and process leave of absence (LOA), ensuring accurate supplemental pay calculations.
• Handle over-payment calculations and collections, and maintain up-to-date SOPs for payroll and timekeeping tasks.
• Provide high-level customer service, responding to complex inquiries from employees, managers, and external vendors.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent judgment, and the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Must have Skills

• Experience with HRIS Workday and ADP Systems.
• Strong data accuracy and auditing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer support capabilities

Industry Experience:

• Experience in a shared services environment is preferred.

Education/Certifications: A college degree is preferred, and CPP/FPC certification is a plus.
