Job summary

Akraya is seeking a Data Management Analyst to support accuracy and integrity of employee and organizational data in Workday. You’ll validate HR data changes, handle data requests, run audits, and assist with Workday releases and process improvements. Hybrid in Salt Lake City, UT, with a W2 pay range of $40–$43/hour for 6+ months.

You will collaborate with global People Team stakeholders to ensure controls are followed and documentation is maintained while driving data quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Workday experience with employee, organizational and position data.
• Experience managing HR data, data operations, HRIS or related analytics.
• Strong data validation, auditing and data quality troubleshooting.
• Ability to process Workday EIBs / mass data uploads.
• Advanced Excel skills and handling large datasets.
• Understanding of Position Management and HR processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Job Summary: My Client is seeking a Data Management Analyst to support the accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of employee and organizational data within Workday. The role will process and validate HR data changes, manage data-related requests, perform audits and quality checks, and support organizational structures, position management, and employee data. The analyst will work closely with global People Team stakeholders to ensure HR data is accurate, processes are consistently followed, and appropriate controls are maintained. The role will also support HRIS initiatives, Workday testing, system releases, process documentation, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve Workday Help cases, providing timely and accurate support for HR data and transaction requests.
• Process, maintain, and validate employee and organizational data in Workday while following established controls and procedures.
• Support Position Management, including creation, maintenance, and validation of position data.
• Investigate and resolve HR data and transaction issues in partnership with People Team stakeholders.
• Perform regular data audits and quality checks, identify anomalies, and support resolution of data integrity issues.
• Prepare, validate, and process mass data uploads, including Workday EIBs.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and knowledge materials.
• Support SOX, audit, and governance requirements, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are maintained.
• Support Workday testing related to system releases and process changes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and automate Data Management processes.
• Handle confidential employee information with appropriate care and discretion.

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience working with Workday, particularly employee, organizational, and position data.
• Experience with HR data management, data operations, HRIS, or related analytical functions.
• Strong experience in data validation, auditing, quality checks, and identifying data anomalies.
• Experience preparing and processing Workday EIBs / mass data uploads.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, and working with large datasets.
• Understanding of Position Management and position-based HR processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience supporting SOX controls, HR data governance, audits, and compliance.
• Experience with Workday testing, system releases, and HRIS process updates.
• Experience creating process documentation, work instructions, and knowledge materials.
• Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• HR, HRIS, data management, or related qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of data quality.
