Job summary

CFS in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join the HR team and take ownership of payroll and benefits administration. This role will ensure payroll accuracy, timely processing, and regulatory compliance while supporting leave programs and HR operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of payroll/benefits experience, HRIS and payroll systems familiarity, and strong Excel skills. This onsite role reports to HR leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, HR, or a related role.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time, including adjustments, voids, reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and leave.
• Support benefits administration for new hires, open enrollment, and ongoing employee needs.
• Manage 401(k) administration, including audits, committee materials, and coordination with advisors and recordkeepers.
• Oversee leave administration and workers' compensation claims.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations including ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, and ACA.
• Audit and analyze payroll and benefits data and prepare reports for leadership.
• The Payroll Analyst will manage relationships with benefits and payroll vendors.
• Reconcile vendor invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments.
• The Payroll Analyst will coordinate compliance reporting and audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
• Support employee training and communication related to payroll and benefits.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.

About The Role
