Masco Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support US-based business units. The role ensures accurate payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration with HR, HRIS, Finance, and leadership delivers high-quality payroll expertise and service. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of payroll data processing experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and hands-on experience with Workday and Kronos

Qualifications

• Payroll processing in a large multi-state environment.
• Workday experience is required.
• Experience with UKG Timekeeping (Kronos Dimensions) preferred.
• Canadian Payroll experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical capability.
• Excellent communication and customer service focus.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Minimum three years’ experience in payroll data processing and analysis.
• Associate’s or applicable college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for US business units ensuring accurate hours, earnings, fringes and deductions according to company guidelines.
• Assist with payroll funding, balancing, and reconciliation activities.
• Partner with the Tax Accountant on tax research and filings.
• Assist with General Ledger entries, reconciliations, and research.
• Collaborate with the HRIS team on payroll configuration, testing, implementations, and system upgrades.
• Serve as subject matter expert to ensure company compliance with payroll withholdings, wage payments, garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
• Collect, coordinate and enter payroll data and maintain related payroll records.
• Resolve escalated issues requiring managerial intervention or cross-functional involvement.
• Back up to the payroll team for other pay groups.
• Respond to external audits data requests.

This role is responsible for accurate payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and continuous improvement. The Payroll Analyst partners closely with HR, HRIS, Finance, and business leaders to deliver a high level of payroll expertise and customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for US business units ensuring accurate hours, earnings, fringes and deductions according to company guidelines.
• Assists with payroll funding, balancing, and reconciliation activities.
• Partner with the Tax Accountant on tax research and filings.
• Assists with General Ledger entries, reconciliations, and research.
• Collaborate with the HRIS team on payroll configuration, testing, implementations, and system upgrades.
• Serve as subject matter expert to ensure company compliance with payroll as applicable to withholdings, payment of wages, garnishment, child support and voluntary deductions.
• Collects, coordinates and enters payroll data and maintains related payroll records.
• Resolve escalated/complex employee issues that require managerial intervention or involve other process areas.
• Back up to the payroll team for other pay groups.
• Responds to and assembles data as needed for various external audits.
• Sets up, processes and responds to child support and wage garnishments.
• Responds to verifications of employment and unemployment notices.
• Implement process improvements where opportunities for increased efficiencies are discovered.
• Troubleshoot payroll and tax issues to help find and implement resolutions.
• Verify and process employee purchase rebates.
• Other tasks/functions/projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing experience in a large multi-state, multi-company environment.
• Workday experience is required.
• Experience with UKG Timekeeping (Kronos Dimensions) preferred.
• Canadian Payroll experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with solid analytical capability.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
• Exhibit confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
• High attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
• Minimum three years’ experience in payroll data processing and analysis.
• Associate’s or applicable college course work preferred.

Company

Masco Full time Hiring Range: $49,500.00 - $77,660.00 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
