Job summary

Gentis Solutions in Dayton, OH is seeking a Payroll / HRIS Analyst to own payroll accuracy, support employees, and keep HRIS systems running smoothly behind the scenes.

This hands-on role focuses on payroll processing, HRIS configurations, benefits administration, and compliance reporting, including CBAs and multi-site environments. The ideal candidate will improve workflows and support platform optimization while maintaining payroll-to-GL accuracy.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience with union payroll, CBAs, and manufacturing or multi-site environments.
• HRIS administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Benefits administration and compliance reporting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Interpret CBAs and support union and non-union payroll needs.
• Reconcile earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and payroll-to-GL activity.
• Administer and support HRIS processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Help manage benefits administration, open enrollment, and compliance reporting.
• Improve documentation, controls, and payroll/HRIS workflows.
• Support system optimization and potential future platform changes.

We’re partnering with a confidential manufacturing organization in Dayton, Ohio to hire a Payroll / HRIS Analyst. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning payroll, supporting employees, and keeping the systems and details running smoothly behind the scenes.

This opportunity is a strong fit for a payroll professional who also has HRIS and benefits experience, and who is comfortable being the primary resource for payroll accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

What you’ll do

• Process accurate biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Interpret CBAs and support union and non-union payroll needs
• Reconcile earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and payroll-to-GL activity
• Administer and support HRIS processes, configurations, and troubleshooting
• Help manage benefits administration, open enrollment, and compliance reporting

• Paycor experience
• Payroll or HRIS implementation, migration, or conversion experience
• Experience with Workday, ADP, UKG, Dayforce, Paycom, Paylocity, isolved, or similar platforms
