Job summary

St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll operations and support a variety of payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee support functions.

This role works closely with Human Resources and the Business Office to support faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll expertise, a customer-service mindset, and a drive to continuously improve processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of payroll administration or related experience.
• Experience with Paycor payroll processing and onboarding is required.
• Experience in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, reporting requirements, and benefits administration.
• Strong Excel, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly payroll processing and related payroll activities.
• Support employee onboarding, payroll records, and benefits administration through Paycor.
• Serve as a resource for employee payroll, benefits, and timekeeping questions.
• Assist with compliance reporting, audits, and payroll-related recordkeeping.
• Partner with Human Resources, the Business Office, and other departments to support accurate payroll operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage system capabilities more effectively.
