Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 370 employees across multiple states.
• Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, benefits, and garnishments for accuracy.
• Maintain employee payroll records and process payroll-related changes.
• Respond to employee and manager payroll questions.
• Assist with payroll tax compliance and payroll reporting.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support account reconciliations.
• Review payroll data and identify discrepancies before payroll submission.
• Support year-end payroll activities, audits, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a hands- on role where you can take ownership of the payroll process? We are partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking a Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a multi-state workforce.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving payroll issues, and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 370 employees across multiple states
• Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, benefits, and garnishments for accuracy
• Maintain employee payroll records and process payroll-related changes
• Respond to employee and manager payroll questions
• Assist with payroll tax compliance and payroll reporting
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support account reconciliations
• Review payroll data and identify discrepancies before payroll submission
• Support year-end payroll activities, audits, and reporting requirements
• Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and payroll compliance
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, UKG, or similar platforms
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

• CPP certification
• Accounting or payroll reconciliation experience
