Job summary

MLC is seeking a Payroll Administrator to accurately process hourly payroll for multiple locations, maintain records, support time and attendance, and ensure compliance with payroll requirements. You will work with a third‑party payroll provider to ensure timely and precise payroll distribution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field and at least 5 years of payroll processing experience, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Process hourly payroll transactions for multiple locations via a third‑party payroll provider.
  • Support payroll distribution and ensure timely, accurate processing.
  • Prepare and process payroll deductions, retirement contributions, union dues, and required reports.
  • Audit time and attendance records and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
  • Maintain employee information in payroll/timekeeping systems and handle new hire setup.
  • Track employee work history, seniority, attendance, and related payroll records.
  • Coordinate hourly employee vacation scheduling and vacation pay transactions.
  • Maintain deduction records, assist with garnishments, and provide backup support for payroll team functions.

About The Job

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurately processing hourly payroll for multiple locations while maintaining payroll records, supporting time and attendance processes, and ensuring compliance with payroll-related requirements.

  • Process and review hourly payroll transactions for all company locations through a third‑party payroll provider.
  • Support payroll distribution and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.
  • Prepare and process payroll‑related deductions, retirement contributions, union dues, and required reports.
  • Audit time and attendance records and work with supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain employee information within payroll and timekeeping systems, including new hire setup.
  • Track employee work history, seniority, attendance, and related payroll records.

Required Qualifications

  • Action‑oriented with a focus on results, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with employees and supervisors across the organization.
