This is an on-site position in Des Moines, IA.
  • Analyzes, inputs and prepares payroll data via automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll (weekly & bi-weekly). Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related items.
  • Provides effective accounting support for payroll related matters.
  • Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Approving invoices for payment.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of payroll, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer proficiency. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Education And Work Experience
  • An Associate’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree, or
  • Three to Five years’ experience in Payroll.
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.
Summary

Provide payroll support for all levels of the organization. Additionally, this position would assist with other HR projects as necessary.
