Purpose of the Role: The Payroll & Administrative Specialist will own bi-monthly payroll processing and day to day administrative support for the finance and HR teams.

Principal Accountabilities:

Payroll Processing
  1. Process payroll for the team, managing inputs/outputs to the payroll system for accuracy; benefit costs, 401(k), HRIS.
  2. Manage system integrations with payroll and other connecting platforms.
  3. Verify and resolve any payroll discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every pay cycle.
  4. Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  5. Oversee the processing and management of employee 401(k) contributions.
  6. Manage the Health Savings Account (HSA) processes, ensuring employee contributions are accurate.
Administrative Assistance
  1. Assist HR with administrative processing of employee onboarding/terminations/master data maintenance.
  2. Assist finance with bookkeeping and expense reporting.
  3. Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  1. 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, with knowledge of Paylocity or ADP preferred.
  2. Associate’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and tax regulations.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent attention to detail.
  7. Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize easily.
