Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking a Payroll And Accounting Manager to oversee all payroll operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with HR and auditors. This role also handles accounting processes, internal reporting, and tax filings, driving accuracy and timeliness of pay and financial records.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting and 4+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with IRS Form 941 and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Four years of payroll processing and bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with IRS regulations and payroll tax laws.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, auditors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises payroll staff and supports HR hiring decisions.
• Manages payroll policies, timekeeping system implementation and compliance.
• Provides customer service by resolving payroll inquiries and complex issues.
• Leads testing of ERP payroll scenarios.
• Ensures timely and accurate W-2 reporting and payroll tax filings.
• Assists with accounts payable and citywide financial systems.
