What You’ll Do

• Process bi-weekly payroll for a large, multi-state employee population consisting of both hourly and salaried employees.
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries into the accounting system.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger.
• Reconcile payroll‑related general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and record month‑end payroll accruals.
• Reconcile payroll taxes and assist with payroll tax reporting and compliance.
• Perform accounting analysis and support general accounting activities as needed.
• Maintain payroll‑related information within the payroll/accounting systems.
• Prepare reports and provide information in response to internal requests.
• Assist with month‑end close and other accounting functions.
• Identify discrepancies and work to resolve payroll and accounting issues in a timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; an Associate’s degree may be considered for candidates with strong relevant experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on payroll experience, ideally supporting 300+ employees.
• Strong general accounting and general ledger experience.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, payroll accounting, and payroll tax reporting.
• Experience working with a large‑scale payroll or ERP system.
• Oracle experience strongly preferred; experience with a comparable enterprise‑level system will be considered.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential payroll and employee information.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting and payroll teams.
