We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join a growing team within a nationwide healthcare organization. This remote role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll and financial reporting.

You’ll serve as the key link between Payroll and Accounting, ensuring that every payroll is posted to the General Ledger with precision and aligned with GAAP standards.

• Post all processed payrolls to the General Ledger via Intacct
• Reconcile payroll files, check registers, and accrued payroll accounts
• Collaborate closely with the Payroll team to troubleshoot discrepancies and set up new pay codes
• Perform biweekly review meetings with Payroll and support resolution of outstanding issues
• Prepare journal entries for PTO, bonuses, 401(k) match, and other accruals
• Assist with month-end close and meet all internal deadlines
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support audit preparation
• Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls and GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of payroll accounting or general accounting experience
• Experience with Paycom and Intacct preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams
• 100% remote position with flexible collaboration
