Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage accurate multi-state payroll processing and support payroll accounting, tax compliance, reconciliations, PTO administration, and reporting. This role works closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure payroll is processed accurately and employees receive timely and accurate pay.

We expect 3+ years of payroll and accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail.

PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

Location: West Des Moines
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $65,000–$80,000 per year

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage accurate and timely multi-state payroll processing while supporting payroll accounting, tax compliance, reconciliations, PTO administration, and reporting. This role works closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure payroll is processed accurately and employees receive timely and accurate pay.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule; review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies; support payroll accounting and reconciliations; manage payroll tax filings and compliance; maintain PTO records and support PTO administration; prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll-related audits; maintain accurate payroll records; and partner with HR, Finance, and Operations on payroll-related questions and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of payroll and accounting experience, strong Excel and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with multi-state payroll, payroll taxes, reconciliations, and payroll systems is preferred. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$65,000–$80,000 annually. Benefits include 401(k) with company match, health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, in-office position based in West Des Moines. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
