Job summary

AuthoraCare Collective in North Carolina is seeking a Payroll & A/P Manager to lead our Accounts Payable, Claims, and Payroll functions in a hands-on, collaborative team.

This full-time role reports to the Controller, supervises a small team, and requires ownership of monthly payroll processing, payroll reviews, and month-end reconciliations, with a hybrid work arrangement in Greensboro or Burlington.

This is a full-time hybrid position Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week andan office base of Greensboro or Burlington, NC. AuthoraCare Collective is a nonprofit hospice, palliative care, and home health organization serving patients and families across North Carolina. Our Finance team supports the financial integrity of our mission, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong internal controls so our organization can continue to serve those who need us most.

Position Summary

AuthoraCare Collective is seeking an experienced Payroll & A/P Manager to lead our Accounts Payable, Claims, and Payroll functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with solid payroll experience who is ready to take ownership of monthly payroll-related accounting, mentor a small team, and be a trusted partner to Finance leadership. Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll & A/P Manager will supervise the Payroll Specialist, Claims Analyst, and Accounts Payable Specialist, while personally owning full-cycle payroll processing, payroll review, and month-end reconciliations tied to payroll and accounts payable.
