Job summary

Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Payor Credentialing Assistant to join our Patient Accounting team in Uvalde, TX. This role ensures credentialing and payer enrollment with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial plans, maintaining accurate provider records and meeting critical deadlines.

You will coordinate credentialing, re-credentialing and enrollment, monitor statuses, and act as the liaison with insurers and regulatory bodies to support compliant revenue cycle operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in hospital, healthcare billing, provider enrollment or credentialing preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provider and facility credentialing, re-credentialing, and payer enrollment.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor credentialing applications with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
• Maintain provider documentation including licenses, certifications, education, and malpractice insurance.
• Monitor credentialing deadlines to ensure timely renewals and participation.
• Serve as primary contact between providers, clinics, payors and regulators.
• Maintain databases, generate reports, and track application status.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/payer requirements while supporting revenue cycle.
