About The Role

eMetro PT is looking for an experienced Payor Contract Manager to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing the contracting life cycle, including but not limited to: the negotiation and execution of contracts with payors, building & maintaining payor relationships and delivering competitive rates. This position is 100% remote eligible!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiations and executions with healthcare payors, ensuring optimal terms and reimbursement rates.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with payor organizations to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Analyze payor contracts and reimbursement models to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to ensure contract terms align with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor payor performance based on contractual obligations and key performance indicators, addressing any discrepancies or issues proactively.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in healthcare regulations, and incorporate this knowledge into contract strategies and negotiations.
  • Offer guidance and support to team members engaged in contract management and negotiation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Math/Healthcare Administration preferred, or Equivalent work experience required.
  • At least 3-5 years of healthcare contracting experience, preferably in the physical therapy space.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and payor contract terms, including adjusted/unadjusted Medicare fee schedules, Per Visit Rate, Value Based, Bundle, Fee for Service, etc.
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts with healthcare payors, securing favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex contract terms and financial data.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
  • Experience integrating new acquisitions & working with IPA’s.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft & CLM software experience a plus.
  • Highly prefer experience & established relationships with payors in the following markets: New York/Long Island & NYC/Burroughs, CT, RI and FL.
