Job summary

Realign Llc is seeking an experienced Payments Technical Architect in Charlotte, NC to drive the design and delivery of high‑volume payment systems. The role requires deep Java expertise, Spring-based microservices, Kafka, cloud, and modern CI/CD practice.

Onsite work in Charlotte is expected with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of hands-on experience with payments rails (FedWire, ISO, SWIFT) and a strong track record building scalable, secure architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise Java development with Spring frameworks.
• Experience with payments rails/products such as FedWire, ISO, SWIFT.
• Strong understanding of microservices and cloud architectures.
• Experience implementing automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with architectural patterns and writing reusable libraries.

• 10+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Rest API, microservices, Kafka, Cloud, Mulesoft,MQ, Kubernet.
• Experiences working with payments rails/products, such as FedWire, Chips, TCH, SEPA, Wires, ACH, Real Time Payments, SWIFT, ISO etc.
• Hands-on experience with AI models and tools, such as Copilot, Claude, etc a plus
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, Agile way of working and CI/CD concepts.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java
• Familiarity with concepts of Spring Boot, Rest API, Micro service Architecture
• Knack for writing clean, readable Java code
• Experience with both external and embedded databases
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
