CDK Global is a leading cloud-based software provider for dealerships and OEMs. The Payments Sales Engineer role supports the sales team with expertise in embedded payment processing, APIs, and integrations to drive successful merchant implementations.

The position requires 3–5 years in payments sales, strong presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Travel to meet clients is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in the payments industry with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of embedded payment processing tech (card-present & card-not-present).
• Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, gateways, API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth understanding of the payments industry, trends, and regulations.
• Act as subject matter expert on payment products and services for sales teams.
• Collaborate with product to ensure payment solutions meet market needs and compliance.
• Identify and close new business opportunities within payments to drive sales growth.
• Provide training and support to sales on payment products, trends, and positioning.
• Engage with clients and partners to understand payment needs and craft tailored solutions.
• Stay informed on competitors to guide sales strategies.
