Job summary

Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking an experienced risk professional to join our client’s Payments Segment Risk team, supporting a growing BIN Sponsorship program across issuing and acquiring models. This role will onboard new fintech and processor partners, and perform annual due diligence reviews for sponsored clients in line with regulatory and card network standards.

With a strong pipeline of partnerships, you will review policies, assess AML/BSA, KYC, PCI, and operational risk, and collaborate

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payments, merchant acquiring, or sponsor banks.
• Experience with BIN Sponsorship due diligence (issuing/acquiring).
• Strong background in operational, compliance, and third-party risk management.
• Experience supporting fintech partnerships and payment processors.
• Deep knowledge of AML/BSA, KYC, PCI, and card network rules.
• Ability to read, interpret, and synthesize risk assessments.
• Experience evaluating policies and TPRM frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing BIN Sponsorship due diligence for issuing and acquiring partners.
• Lead annual due diligence reviews for existing sponsored clients.
• Review partner policies: AML/BSA, KYC, PCI, governance.
• Assess AML/BSA programs for regulatory compliance and risk appetite.
• Analyze risk data and card network requirements to identify gaps.
• Collaborate with TPRM, Compliance, Fraud, InfoSec, and others.
• Support onboarding decisions for fintech and processor relationships.
• Prepare executive reports on risk findings and trends.
