Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Payments Product Manager who will be part of a team that designs and develops new features & enhancements to our Bill Pay and Digital Disbursements products. Reporting to the SVP of Product Management, you are responsible for acting as the voice of our clients and developing profitable features & enhancements that provide client value. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features & enhancements that exceed client expectations.

• Manage discovery efforts and undertake market & industry research to uncover possible product features & enhancements.
• Responsible for the growth and usage of our products, to ensure we're helping clients get the most value from using our products.
• Liaise with internal sales, implementation and account management teams as well our clients to identify the requirements for requested features & enhancements.
• Create summary proposals (including cost/benefit analyses) for identified features & enhancements explaining why they should be considered for inclusion into the product roadmap.
• For features & enhancements that are added to the roadmap create detailed functional write ups of the proposed feature or enhancement to be used by the development team.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, compliance, operations, and finance to design scalable and auditable features & enhancements.
• Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
• Articulate the product vision, develop annual and quarterly plans, and collaborate with other functions to deliver these solutions to our users and make them successful.
• Liaise with solutions consulting & implementation teams to ensure supporting product documentation is updated to reflect new features & enhancements.
• Prepare internal and client facing overview documentation for larger features & enhancements.
• Prepare product release notes describing the contents of the monthly product releases.

Professional Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in payments product management or a relevant domain area.
• Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and business/systems analysis.
• Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal & organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation and negotiating skills.
• Strategic thinker but with the ability to identify tactical solutions.
• Flexibility to work remotely, if preferred.
