Memorial Home Services in Springfield, IL is hiring a full-time Billing Specialist to ensure timely posting of payments and adjustments in the hospital billing system. You will process 835 ERA, ACH and EFT transactions and handle USPS and inter-office mail while balancing daily batches.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of billing experience, the ability to read ERA/EOBs, and strong keyboarding and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of billing, insurance or collections experience.
• Ability to read and interpret ERAs, ACHs, EFTs and EOBs.
• Proficient keyboarding and basic math; comfortable with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and adjustments in the hospital billing system.
• Process 835 ERA, ACH, EFT transactions; handle USPS and inter-office mail.
• Balance daily batches and assist with daily reconciliation and audits.
