Job summary

Finix is seeking a Support Engineer for its San Francisco HQ. You will be the front line supporting customers, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with Revenue, Product, and Engineering to improve the payments platform.

Ideal candidates have a CS/engineering background, API skills, and strong communication. This role offers a fast-paced environment with a hybrid work model and daily interaction with customers.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar experience (Open to DevBootcamp graduates and non-college graduates).
• Experience with RESTful JSON APIs, Curl, SQL, scripting languages, debugging, log aggregators, and web technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, openness and honesty in dialogue.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume and teamwork.
• Foundational API knowledge and ability to explain concepts simply.
• Experience with Hubspot or similar ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Revenue, Product, and Engineering on projects and manage the Support queue.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and document technical customer issues and solutions.
• Build relationships with Finix users, identify product gaps, and implement improvements.
• Act as a customer advocate in cross-functional product meetings.
• Engage in team learnings to understand the payments ecosystem.
