Job summary

EML is seeking a System Operations Engineer to ensure stability, availability and security of our enterprise payments platform. You will monitor critical systems, respond to alerts, and perform root‑cause analysis to meet strict regulatory and SLA requirements in a high‑volume environment.

The role supports 24/7 availability of card issuing, payment processing, and digital financial services, collaborating with Engineering, InfoSec, Compliance and Product teams to improve automation and

Qualifications

Experience supporting mission‑critical, high‑availability systems in a payments environment.
Strong understanding of Windows administration, networks, and web apps.
Proficient in reading complex SQL Server queries and performance tuning.
Familiarity with monitoring, incident management tools, and automation scripts.

Responsibilities

Monitor production payment systems, servers, apps, APIs, and networks in real time.
Respond to alerts, prioritize incidents, and take remediation actions per runbooks.
Troubleshoot incidents using logs, queries, and ticket details.
Escalate issues per SLAs to engineering or infrastructure teams.
Maintain accurate incident logs and post‑incident communications.
Create and maintain deployment and runbooks for releases.
