Job summary

WEX is seeking a Software Engineer for the Corporate Payments Engineering group. You will help develop and drive the Bill Pay platform in a scalable Java/Spring Boot environment on AWS, building event-driven services with Kafka and managing PostgreSQL/Oracle databases.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience deploying on AWS cloud.
Experience building event-driven apps with Apache Kafka.
Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases and SQL optimization.
Experience writing high‑quality automated tests across unit/integration levels.
Solid understanding of software design principles, security, and compliance in cloud/data environments.

Responsibilities
