Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Technical Operations Analyst on the Payments team to ensure reliability and accuracy of critical payment flows. You will own investigations end-to-end, drive reconciliation, and partner with financial institutions globally to resolve issues quickly.

This role requires independent ownership, strong SQL skills, and a focus on automating processes to scale with Stripe's growth. Excellent communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years in technical operations, payments ops, or fintech.
• Advanced SQL proficiency for complex queries.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end payment flows across geographies.
• Experience resolving high-severity operational incidents in payments/financial systems.
• Experience with large-scale financial datasets for validation and reconciliation.
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional workflows with engineering, finance, banking partners.
• Track record of identifying process gaps and driving automation to reduce manual workload.
• Experience writing and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• High autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own reconciliation and payments-related investigations, ensuring accurate ledgering and swift resolution with banking partners.
• Proactively monitor payment performance, triage degradation alerts, diagnose root causes, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Escalation-point for complex support inquiries from Technical Account Managers, Product Support, and Stripe teams.
• Interface with Stripe's global financial partners to manage operational incidents and drive resolution.
• Validate the accuracy of Stripe's financial data through rigorous analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Identify process inefficiencies and lead automation initiatives to reduce manual workload and improve throughput.
• Build and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and process documentation.
