Job summary

Merraine Group's client, a rapidly growing fintech, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge software engineering and customer success in Chicago. You will design integrations, deploy platforms, and work directly with customer teams to deliver scalable payment solutions.

The role requires 2–5 years of software experience, TypeScript and React proficiency, strong API knowledge, and excellent communication to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of software engineering or related technical experience.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React; ability to prototype and support customer implementations.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, software integrations, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement platform integrations with customer engineering teams.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions and technical demonstrations to accelerate adoption.
• Guide on system architecture, API integrations, and scalable payment infrastructure.
