Job summary

Adyen is hiring an Implementation Engineer in Chicago to manage new integrations and enhance existing ones. You will lead technical consultations, guide merchant teams through design, development, testing, and launch phases of their integrations with Adyen's platform.

You will work across payment solutions, including POS, e-commerce, and marketplaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable integrations while ensuring excellent customer experience throughout the

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience integrating and/or providing technical consultation when integrating with Web APIs
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDKs)
• Experience working with distributed systems, database design and systems architecture
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with high level decision makers
• Empathetic to customer and end-user needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions by pulling in the right people
• Growth mindset with a bias toward action

Responsibilities

• Utilize development and programming expertise to create scalable solutions for merchant integrations.
• Serve as a consultative partner in verticals like e-commerce and POS, guiding integration processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering to deliver seamless experiences.
• Oversee high-quality project delivery and ensure technical integrity of merchant integrations.
• Provide consultation on optimizing payment solutions and platform onboarding.
