Job summary

M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Team Tech Lead to guide a Fraud (Payments) technology delivery team within an Agile framework. You will set technical direction across Actimize-based solutions, data engineering, integration, and platform modernization.

You will lead architecture and design reviews, mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and drive secure, scalable, and maintainable systems while advancing automated testing and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience with Actimize Fraud solutions and Payments Fraud.
Strong software engineering and solution-design background.
Demonstrated technical leadership of engineering teams or complex initiatives.
Experience mentoring engineers and designing/applying architecture patterns.
Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD.
Familiarity with AI tools for development, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for Fraud (Payments) and Actimize Platform.
Lead architecture, design reviews, and code reviews for complex changes.
Mentor developers and enforce coding standards, testing, and deployment practices.
Improve automated testing, code quality, and technical documentation.
Identify and remediate technical debt and optimize performance.
