Job summary

Highnote, an embedded payments company based in San Francisco, is seeking a senior finance leader to shape its financial future. Reporting to the COO and partnering with the CEO and leadership team, you will anticipate financial moves, defend analyses, and drive decisions with data-driven insights.

You will own the narrative around performance, plan, risks, and opportunities, while leading automation efforts to produce sharper, faster insights.

Qualifications

• Twelve or more years in finance with a strategic leadership track record.
• Deep knowledge of payments economics, including card issuing and acquiring.
• Analyst mindset, not just accountant.
• Experience scaling a finance function during rapid revenue growth.
• Comfort communicating with auditors and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis and strategic guidance for the leadership team.
• Own the annual operating plan, forecasting, and reporting to the board.
• Manage burn, cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships.
• Support equity and debt fundraising with models and diligence materials.
• Partner with auditors to ensure audit-ready, GAAP-compliant reporting.
