Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Quant Analytics Associate within the Payments Analytics team to design tagging frameworks for payments data and translate business needs into tagging rules. You will source, transform, and validate data, develop queries, and create reporting to support descriptive and predictive analytics.

The role requires strong SQL skills (Snowflake) and 2+ years in ETL and data visualization, with a quantitative academic background.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong quality standards in analytics deliverables.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting to larger groups.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• 2+ years of applied experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) and data visualization (Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, SAS, R, or Python).
• Strong SQL skills, with Snowflake as the primary data environment.
• Experience developing agentic workflows (automated multi-step analysis or decision workflows).

Responsibilities

• Design and refine transaction tagging logic to classify and enrich payments transaction data.
• Partner with Payments Product Owners to translate business needs into tagging frameworks and rules.
• Define metrics and measurement approaches to support customer engagement and product outcomes.
• Source, transform, and validate data used in tagging and analytics workflows.
• Develop and maintain queries and reporting to monitor tagging performance and coverage.
• Create clear analyses and presentations for stakeholder updates, including larger group settings.
• Drive alignment across stakeholders on how tagging should be applied and used across products.
