Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a Certified Coder Payment Recovery Specialist to review records, correct codes in the billing system using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and proper modifiers for accurate reimbursement.

You will analyze complex data daily, identify payer and system trends, and ensure denials are resolved while adhering to all state and federal billing regulations and DHMG policies.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in medical coding and/or billing for physician office services.
• Proficiency assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and related credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review records for coding accuracy and correct diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Analyze and interpret complex data daily to support accurate reimbursement.
• Identify payer/system trends and communicate findings to management.
• Utilize denial data to support compliance and billing concepts.
• Manage and correct denied claims for coding issues to facilitate payment.
