Qualifications

• Three years of medical coding or billing experience in physician office settings.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Knowledge of payer contracts, guidelines, and regulations related to billing and collection procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend an EOB and research CPT/ICD-10 codes for billing.
• Proficiency in reimbursement concepts, payer policies, and denials management.

Responsibilities

• Review records for coding errors and correct codes to support reimbursement.
• Analyze and interpret complex data daily.
• Identify and communicate payer/system trends to Management.
• Manage and correct denied claims for coding issues to facilitate payment.
• Adhere to Dignity Health coding policies and procedures.
