Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Payment Posting Specialist for a contract role onsite in Norfolk, VA. You will post insurance and patient payments, interpret EOBs/ERAs, balance batches, and maintain payment documentation across multiple systems.

The role requires meticulous data entry, strong Excel reporting, and the ability to work with deadlines in a structured workflow. Standard hours are 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience posting insurance and patient payments in a healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, patient liability, adjustments, and posting workflows.
• Experience working in multiple systems simultaneously.
• Strong reconciliation and balancing experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for daily reporting and tracking activities.

Payment Posting Specialist

This position is responsible for posting insurance and patient payments, balancing batches, reconciling accounts, and maintaining payment documentation while working across multiple systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
