Job summary

ONE Health Ohio is seeking a Payment Posting and Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. You will post payments, review remittance advice, and reconcile batches to ensure accurate postings and financial records.

The role requires healthcare revenue-cycle experience and strong attention to detail. On-site position with opportunities to contribute to audits and month-end closing activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of medical billing or revenue-cycle experience.
• Ability to interpret remittance advice and explanations of benefits.
• Experience reconciling payment batches, remittance totals, and deposits.
• Proficiency with practice-management systems and standard office apps.

Responsibilities

• Post electronic and manual insurance payments, patient payments, adjustments, denials, credits and refunds within established turnaround times.
• Review remittance advice, EOBs, lockbox files, and bank documents.
• Balance payment batches to remittance totals and system reports before posting.
• Reconcile posted batches and research variances, duplicate postings, and misapplied payments.
• Research unapplied cash, unidentified payments, and credit balances; resolve rejected remittance files.
• Communicate with payers, patients, and internal teams to ensure correct application of payments.
