Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking experienced backend engineers to scale our global payments platform. You will work across teams to expand our product suite, design scalable services, and tackle complex production issues.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional groups, mentoring peers, and owning features end-to-end in a distributed, hybrid environment. Ideal candidates have 2–10+ years of software engineering, strong coding skills, autonomy, and a passion for backend

Qualifications

• 2–10+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships or co‑ops).
• Strong coding skills in any programming language.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across workstreams within your team and contribute to your peers' success
• Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Interest in working as a backend specialist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users

Responsibilities

• Build and design the next generation of the company products to meet the high‑growth needs of our company and customers for years to come
• Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Mentor engineers to help them grow
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to build new features at large‑scale, while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed and hybrid team, maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues
