Job summary

Amentum seeks a Payload Safety Panel Representative to join its aerospace team in Houston, Texas. You will act as the engineering representative to the ISS Safety Review Panel, guiding safety reviews from early development to flight delivery and coordinating with SME teams to ensure robust safety practices.

This role requires a strong background in flight hardware, systems safety, and familiarity with NASA standards, with leadership and proactive issue resolution as key traits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required with 5–10 years of related experience.
  • Experience in design and evaluation of electrical/mechanical systems for aerospace.
  • Knowledge of safety disciplines and regulatory compliance for spaceflight.

Responsibilities

  • Function as the Engineering representative to the ISS Safety Review Panel (ISRP).
  • Participate in ISRP team activities from PDR/CDR through flight delivery.
  • Review payload systems for transport, interface, operational parameters and safety.
  • Coordinate with SME team, provide feedback, and support ISS program leadership meetings.
  • Participate in engineering WG meetings supporting ISS safety reviews.
